As a Head Recognised Federations and Organisations, you will manage the relationships with IOC Recognised Federations and Organisations and coordinate and implement strategic projects in the Sports Department in line with Olympic Agenda

Main responsibilities
Relations with Recognised IFs & Organisations

  • Development of the communication strategy with the recognised IFs and Organisations following the Agenda recommendations
  • Manage and oversee the strategic relationships with key IOC Recognised Organisations including implementation of action plans when required
  • Support the implementation of initiatives involving key IOC Recognised Organisations (e.g. gender equality, human rights)
  • Manage the relationships and communications/meetings with IOC Recognised Federations and Organisations, and attend agreed events
  • Manage the communications with nonrecognised Federations and external stakeholders
  • Manage the IOC Recognition Process and the IOC Recognised IF Evaluation process as outlined in the Agenda recommendation 1
  • Develop and manage the budget for IOC Recognised IFs, Recognised Organisations and the IOC recognition procedure
  • In support of the implementation of Agenda Recommendation 7, monitor the Sports Calendar for multisports events to ensure the harmonisation of the sports calendar
  • Coordinate and liaise with the various umbrella organisations as well as IOC crossfunctions and Departments on the IOC participation in their General Assemblies and SportAccord/IF Forum
  • Manage the relationship between IOC departments and Recognised IFs and Organisations on special projects for IOC Recognised IFs
  • Provide the Recognised Organisations and IFs with institutional support linked to governance, operations, and sport development
  • Manage the development of MoUs between the IOC and Recognised Organisations
  • Manage the development funding and project review for Recognised IFs and Organisations
  • Coordinate the visits of the IOC President to events hosted by Recognised IFs or Organisation
Strategic Projects

  • Support the Associate Director Winter and Recognised Sports & IF Relations in the implementation of key strategic projects for the Sport Department
  • Support the Sports Director and Associate Director of Recognised and Winter Sport & IF Relations on special projects related to the implementation of Olympic Agenda recommendations
  • Support the Winter Section in any special projects related to the Sport delivery in the specific editions of the Olympic Winter games and Winter Youth Olympic Games

Our requirements

  • Schoolleaving diploma or CFC and at least ten (10) years' professional experience.
  • Mother tongue English or French with a good knowledge of German language. Italian would be of added value
  • Familiarity with Word, Excel and PowerPoint, SharePoint and SAP tools.
  • Ability to take an active part in achieving shared objectives through personal involvement and ability to respect the contributions of all the team members.
  • Attention to detail.
  • High sense of confidentiality.
  • Ability to consider interpersonal differences as a source of added value and interact constructively with all kinds of people.
  • Sense of planning and organisation.
  • Excellent command of the corporate tools and follow the internal user rules (SharePoint, OneDrive, Outlook, etc.)
