Your main tasks

The Director, Distribution Sales is responsible to effectively manage existing business while driving initiatives with our distribution partners to profitably grow POP and POS of H+S's full product range. 

Identify annual initiatives to be implemented with distribution partners with the objective of profitably growing POP & POS of our target products. Manage existing business by analyzing POS and POP reports and identifying appropriate stocking plans. Develop pricing strategies for distribution acquisition and end user pricing for opportunities requiring “off book” pricing. Be a point of contact for contractual, commercial and technical questions originating with our distribution partners. Facilitate communication between the customer service manager, field applications engineer, respective H+S Regional Account Manager and Manufacturing Representative. Evaluate new and existing distribution partners against set expectations and recommend appropriate changes to distribution partners. Develop cooperative advertising campaigns with our distribution partners. Identify and implement training needs of our distribution partners. Roll out new product offerings to our distribution partners. Work with global counterparts on business opportunities outside of North America with global distribution partners. Adhere to all regulations and guidelines contained in the Global Management System.

Education & Experience, Essential requirements

Bachelor’s degree in business or equivalent experience. 3-5 years of working for a distributor or with distributors and manufacturing representatives. Previous management experiences.

Essential requirements of skills, experience, physical requirements etc.:
Strong organization, presentation and communication skills, both oral and written. Technical competence in RF/Microwave, Fiber Optics and Wire and Cable products. Experience and exposure to the applications within the Communication, Industrial and Transportation markets. Commercial competence in pricing models and supply chain management. Willingness and ability to travel as needed, on average 25% of time. Physical/Mental Abilities : Must have the physical and mental abilities needed to perform all essential tasks listed; reasonable accommodations may be made to help the job holder perform essential tasks. Must be able to work and respond well under sometimes stressful and demanding work conditions. Must be prepared to spend 75% of working time in direct contact (via phone) with customers.
