Position Summary

Aptiv is seeking for an Intellectual Property Counsel – Paralegal to join our international IP team. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the team's efforts related to IP commercial, dispute, and license matters. Your responsibilities will also include IP legal matter and document management, including database and system maintenance, as well as contract management. Additionally, you will review IP legal invoices to ensure compliance with billing guidelines and fee structures.

Your Role

Collaborate closely with the international IP team to provide critical support in various aspects of intellectual property, with a primary focus on IP commercial, dispute, and license matters. Manage and maintain intellectual property-related documents, databases, and systems. Ensure the accuracy, accessibility, and organization of IP records and documents. Assist in the management of IP contracts, including tracking, updating, and ensuring compliance with contractual obligations. Review IP-related legal invoices to ensure adherence to billing guidelines and fee structures. Report any discrepancies and work with outside counsel as needed.

Your Background

A minimum of 5 years of experience working as a paralegal in a law firm or multinational company, with a strong focus on intellectual property matters. Solid understanding of intellectual property laws and regulations, including patent, trademark, copyright, and trade secret matters. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to review legal invoices and ensure compliance. Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in all work performed. Ability to collaborate effectively within a global and cross-functional team environment.
