The successful candidate will be responsible for providing the company with legal and regulatory advice in close collaboration with affiliates throughout Europe with a focus on the Italian market. Proficiency in both English and Italian, along with strong organizational skills, is essential for this role.Key tasks/responsibilities:Provide legal and regulatory advice concerning insurance products in development, underwriting, administration and claims whilst navigating ambiguity in a fast-paced environmentAdvise on insurance distribution channels including licensing, advertising, marketing and sales for predominantly the Italian but also other European marketsDraft and negotiate insurance related agreements (NDA, MOU, Distribution Agreements, Co-operation Agreements, Joint Ventures, Outsourcing Agreements)Facilitate on-boarding of new distribution partners managing existing relationships (product enhancements)Draft forms, contracts, and processes to build and ensure a legally sound and scalable business that can fulfill its mission and purposeAssist with regulatory issues related to acquisitions, joint ventures and the establishment of new licensed businessesCollaborate with other members of the team regarding disputes, corporate organization, employment and intellectual property matters Experience & Qualifications:Legal Counsel with at least 5+ years of experience in a global insurance organization and/or specified law firmRegulatory knowledge of the Italian insurance market is highly preferredFluent in English and Italian, both written and verbal; proficiency in any additional language is a plusHighly organized and efficient, with a proven ability to drive projects and deliver results within set timelinesExcellent drafting skills, communication skills, and attention to detail Please note that we can only accept applications from candidates with an EU valid work permit and who are based in Switzerland.
