Start Date: December 2023Duration: 6 Months - possible extensionUtilization: 100%Location: Zurich, SwitzerlandWe are currently seeking a Legal Counsel for a global financial services company based in Switzerland. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the legal team in drafting and negotiating contracts, as well as providing legal guidance on matters associated with upcoming and ongoing transactions. The ideal candidate for this role should possess demonstrated expertise in M&A and must be fluent in English.Responsibilities:Support different elements of transactions, including structuring, due diligence, and coordinating signing and closingAdvise on a multitude of areas, including coordination of stakeholders, strategy, due diligence, and specific legal advice on issues that arise out of transactionsParticipate in or coordinate due diligence and other integration activitiesCoordinate with external legal counsel on transaction documentation and due diligenceDraft, review, and negotiate agreements; collaborate with different business units and regional legal counselsProvide necessary support to the Legal Head of M&AQualifications:Experience in-house or at a law firm practicing corporate law within an international environmentKnowledge and experience handling matters in an international M&A environment; experience of international corporate and commercial lawProven track record of leadership and project experienceFluent in English, both written and verbalExcellent drafting skills, communication skills, and attention to detailAbility to think around a more nuanced and complex international setupPlease note that we can only accept applications from candidates who are based in Switzerland, with a valid Swiss work permit.
