We help advance science and build the next generation of quantum computers.As Head of Finance, you will provide strong financial leadership and act as a trusted partner to the leadership team. You will ensure robust, scalable financial structures and clear insights that support Zurich Instruments' growth and international expansion, balancing entrepreneurial flexibility with sound financial governance in a dynamic scale-up environment.Your responsibilitiesLead and develop the Finance team, overseeing accounting, controlling, consolidation, cash management, and product costing across HQ and international subsidiaries.Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting and closings in line with CH GAAP FER, internal policies, and group standards.Act as Process Owner for finance and controlling, driving digitalization, ERP improvements, and a strong internal control framework.Manage intercompany processes, transfer pricing, and consolidation, ensuring alignment with auditors and group requirements.Lead budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and industrial/product/project costing to support performance, profitability, and decision-making.Oversee tax compliance, corporate filings, and relationships with auditors, tax authorities, and external partners.Act as Compliance Officer for financial operations: gatekeeper of outgoing flows, responsible for KYC/KY-Suppliers, and guardian of financial governance.Define and maintain scalable financial policies, processes, and best practices across all entities.Your profileStrong business acumen with the ability to understand complex products and operations and translate them into clear financial insights and decisions.Proven senior finance leadership experience in an international SME or industrial/tech environment, ideally with multi-entity consolidation.Hands-on, pragmatic mindset - able to dive into operational finance while steering strategic initiatives and leading the team.Solid expertise in accounting and controlling (CH GAAP FER or equivalent), including product costing, budgeting, cash management, and consolidation.Experience with ERP finance processes and digitalization; track record of improving systems and workflows (Odoo experience is a plus).Strong background in internal controls, compliance, and risk management across multiple jurisdictions.Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, working effectively with leadership, auditors, tax authorities, and cross-functional teams.Fluent in German & English, with strong analytical capabilities, attention to detail, and a continuous-improvement mindset.We offer a diverse work environment with an open and transparent company culture where personal development forms the basis of our success.
