The Mandarin Oriental Savoy, Zurich has 80 guest rooms and suites and three dining venues, including an all-day dining restaurant, a specialty restaurant and a lobby lounge. The hotel is ideal for meetings and events with its newly renovated event facilities, including a grand historic ballroom.About the jobBased at the Mandarin Oriental Savoy, Zurich within the Food & Beverage Department in Zurich, the In Room Dining Chef de Rang is responsible for assisting the In Room Dining team to always provide impeccable service to guests. The In Room Dining Chef de Rang reports to the In Room Dining Supervisor and In Room Dining Manager.As In Room Dining Chef de Rang, you will be responsible for the following duties:Professional advice and customer care for our guestsProfessional serving of food and drinksComplying with our high-quality standardsPreparing the required mise-en-place, covering and cleaning work in the In Room Dining AreaSupporting your superiors in their daily tasksRegistering all transactions in the cash register system and carrying out correct cash accountingAssisting in the preparation and implementation of special eventsComplying with hygiene regulations and cleanliness within the framework of the HACCP guidelinesAs Chef de Rang, we expect from you:A completed vocational training in the hotel or catering industryFirst computer skills, knowledge of the Infrasys cash register system and the SevenRooms booking system would be advantageousCommunicative skills - guests will contact you with complaints as well as positive feedbackOpen-mindedness and teamwork skillsExcellent manners and well-groomed appearance, as well as a positive charismaFlexibility and ability to work under pressure - your position will include weekend and holiday shiftsExcellent knowledge of German and English.
