About the role

As a Commercial Trainee at Arcondis, you will embark on an intensive and structured one-year program designed to equip you with the skills and experience needed to excel in a commercial role. The Commercial Organization will be your primary focus, where you will gain hands-on experience in business development, client management, and commercial strategy execution. Additionally, you will rotate through other organizational units - such as Operations, Finance, and Consulting, to gain a broader understanding of the business and enhance your cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to business development activities such as identifying potential clients, supporting proposal writing, and preparing sales presentations.
• Participate in client meetings, helping to document discussions, follow up on action items, and gain insights into client relationship management.
• Support commercial projects by assisting senior consultants in conducting market research, data analysis, and developing commercial strategies for clients.
• Conduct research on industry trends, competitors, and potential market opportunities to support commercial decision-making.
• Assist in defining and refining commercial service offerings, including service definition and go-to-market strategies.
• Support forecasting, budgeting, and financial tracking of commercial initiatives under supervision.
• Help prepare contracts, Request for Proposals (RFPs), and commercial agreements in collaboration with senior consultants.
• Work closely with account managers, sales teams, and consulting teams to ensure smooth execution of commercial initiatives.
• Engage in structured learning, mentorship programs, and hands-on experiences to build knowledge in commercial consulting.
• Adapt to diverse client needs and industries by supporting multiple projects simultaneously.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related field (e.g., Life Science, Engineering, Business, Management, or a similar discipline).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both German and English, along with strong interpersonal abilities.
• Team player with the ability to collaborate effectively.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering quality work.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• A passion for learning and the ability to adapt to new situations.
• Willingness to go the extra mile in both work-related tasks and personal interests, showcasing dedication, creativity, and a proactive attitude.
