Purpose:


We are seeking a dynamic, client-focused Team Lead to head our Marketing Services Sourcing team. The candidate must have experience in people management, be results focused and solution driven, and have deep expertise in the end-to-end sourcing lifecycle for wide variety of marketing related engagements.


Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a subject matter expert on supplier marketing offerings, developing and implementing category strategies. 
  • Supporting the team in conducting multi-client sourcing initiatives — including events, print, media buying, advertising, etc. — which vary in terms of scope and scale, both global and domestic.
  • Managing the process of market tenders and subsequent evaluation of bid proposals across a cross-functional team to determine supplier selection, with a focus on tangible results for our clients.
  • Understanding business requirements and shaping deals to meet those requirements
  • Drafting contracts based on standard terms and conditions
  • Negotiating contracts to achieve optimal commercial terms
  • Maintaining market awareness of the travel landscape and contributing to sourcing area plans and business development
  • Establishing and maintaining strong relationships with our business partners, key suppliers, and multiple client groups
  • Adhering to the Chain IQ corporate standards, including using the defined sourcing tools and processes in delivery of sourcing initiatives

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree required. (Supply Chain and/or MBA would be a plus).
  • Minimum of 7+ years' experience in relevant experience in procurement and the marketing profession.
  • Proven capability of running multi-million-dollar sourcing projects
  • Experience in understanding contracts and contract drafting, with limited requirement for specialist legal support
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Strong proficiency in data analysis, pivot tables, and PowerPoint presentations
  • Client/stakeholder focus within the corporate environment with the gravitas to influence senior stakeholders
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, often to tight deadlines, and deliver results
  • Experience in working with market leading sourcing tools and systems
  • Professional team player, motivated and highly flexible
