We are seeking a
Director of Portfolio Strategy
based in Wayne, Pennsylvania, USA or Baar, Switzerland, who will be leading through complexity, creating structure from ambiguity, and driving data-backed strategic decisions. This is a hands-on leadership role for an individual ready to act as a portfolio lifecycle leader, integrating cross-functional insights to shape our future pipeline and optimize the performance of our existing portfolio.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead the strategic management of Novocure's product and indication portfolio across Regulatory, Market Access, Clinical, and Preclinical functions.
  • Develop and operationalize portfolio strategies that balance scientific innovation, commercial opportunity, and resource optimization.
  • Partner with senior leaders to define priorities across multiple indications and lifecycle stages, driving evidence-based decision-making.
  • Establish frameworks and governance processes that enhance portfolio visibility, alignment, and agility.
  • Drive integration of early and late-stage development activities to ensure continuity from concept through commercialization.
  • Provide structure, clarity, and focus in a fast-paced, evolving environment where immediate contribution is expected.

What we're looking for:

  • More than 8 years of experience in portfolio strategy, lifecycle management, or integrated product leadership within pharma, biotech, or medical device sectors.
  • Strong background in oncology is highly preferred, given the strategic complexity and therapeutic focus of Novocure's portfolio.
  • Must have a strong scientific educational background, ideally with a Master's or Doctorate in a relevant scientific discipline.
  • Proven ability to manage complexity, balancing scientific, regulatory, and commercial dimensions.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking, with comfort operating in data-driven, evidence-based decision environments.
  • Experience leading cross-functional initiatives across Regulatory, Market Access, Clinical, and Preclinical teams.
  • Demonstrated success introducing structure, frameworks, and prioritization processes in high-growth or transformation contexts.
  • Exceptional communication and influencing skills; capable of leading without authority in a global matrixed organization.
  • Comfortable taking initiative and building momentum rapidly.
  • Willingness to work onsite at least 3 days per week and to travel overseas as needed.
