Title: Data Analyst - Commodities Trading

Our client, a leading global financial institution, is seeking a Data Analyst to support their Commodities Trading business. This role blends hands-on data engineering and DevOps practices with analytical problem-solving in a fast-paced trading environment. The ideal candidate will have strong Python, Azure, and Databricks experience, with the ability to build robust data workflows, automation, and analytical tools that drive trading and risk insights.

Duties Include:

  • Translate trading and business requirements into practical, data-driven solutions that improve decision-making.
  • Work closely with business teams to identify opportunities where machine learning can enhance decision-making.
  • Build, enhance, and maintain Azure and Databricks data pipelines, ensuring data accuracy, timeliness, and scalability.
  • Collect, process, analyze, and visualize large structured and unstructured datasets from internal and external sources.
  • Monitor and enhance model performance, expanding scope as needed.
  • Establish best practices for integration projects and data-driven initiatives.

The preferred candidate should possess experience working with AI systems, Python code and strong knowledge of DevOps practices
(e.g., Git, Agile methodology) with additional knowledge in MLOps, model architecture design, and testing patterns) excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be able to interact at all levels of business efficiently.
