Data Analyst - Banking

Job description:
  • Contribute to the development and execution of data analytics and business intelligence strategies, with an emphasis on regulatory reporting.
  • Collaborate with senior stakeholders to deliver actionable insights and data-driven solutions.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive, accurate, and well-organized documentation to support analytics processes.
  • Evaluate and oversee change requests from business teams, ensuring alignment with project objectives.
  • Conduct both scheduled and ad-hoc analyses to produce timely and meaningful reports.
  • Design, validate, and maintain analytical models that enhance Compliance processes and support effective control execution.
About the customer:

On behalf of our client in the banking sector, we are seeking a Data Scientist/Analyst to support data analytics and business intelligence initiatives, with a particular focus on regulatory reporting. This is a temporary contract position.

Requirements:
  • Proven experience in the banking sector, ideally within Compliance, Risk Management, or Legal functions.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience (Data Scientist, Analyst roles)
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a field such as STEM, Economics, or Banking & Finance.
  • Strong proficiency in database programming (e.g., SQL).
  • Skilled in Python and other programming languages used for data analysis.
  • Background in project management or business analysis is highly desirable.
  • Fluent in English; proficiency in additional languages is an advantage.
