We're supporting a leading global pharmaceutical organisation in Switzerland that is looking to bring on board an experienced
Process Engineer
to join the team on a 6 months initial contract.

This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a state-of-the-art pharmaceutical facility, focusing on clean utility systems and process troubleshooting within a highly regulated GMP environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support, troubleshooting, and optimisation for clean utility systems (e.g., purified water, WFI, clean steam, compressed air).
  • Monitor and analyse system performance to ensure consistent operation and compliance with GMP and regulatory standards.
  • Support ongoing operations and maintenance activities, ensuring minimal downtime and reliable system performance.
  • Lead or assist in root cause analysis, deviation management, and implementation of corrective/preventive actions.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Operations, Maintenance, QA, and Engineering to ensure smooth system performance and documentation accuracy.
  • Participate in system upgrades, modifications, and validation activities where required.
  • Ensure proper documentation and change control for all technical interventions.

Key Requirements

  • Degree in Chemical, Process, Mechanical, or Biochemical Engineering (or related field).
  • Proven hands-on experience working with clean utilities within the pharmaceutical or biotech industry.
  • Solid understanding of GMP principles and regulatory requirements.
  • Strong background in operations, troubleshooting, or system optimisation.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills; able to interface effectively across departments.
  • Experience with stainless steel bioreactors, fermentation systems, or similar process equipment is a strong advantage.
  • Fluent in English;
