Position Overview:

We are seeking an
Automation Engineer
with proven experience in
DCS systems
, specifically
Siemens PCS7
, to support a key automation project within a
biopharmaceutical manufacturing facility
in the Bern area. You will contribute to the configuration, implementation, and commissioning of automation solutions, ensuring compliance with project requirements and GMP standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Configure and implement control systems using
    Siemens PCS7
  • Support development of control strategies and system architecture
  • Contribute to software development, simulation, and validation of automation code
  • Collaborate with engineering, process, and QA teams to ensure system compliance
  • Participate in
    commissioning
    ,
    testing (FAT/SAT)
    , and troubleshooting of DCS systems
  • Ensure adherence to
    GMP requirements
    and project quality standards
  • Document technical solutions and support project reporting

Profile Requirements:

  • Degree in
    Automation, Electrical Engineering
    , or a related technical field
  • Experience in
    Siemens PCS7
    development and configuration (essential)
  • Previous experience in
    biotech/pharmaceutical projects
    preferred
  • Knowledge of
    GMP
    and validation principles
  • Ability to work in a multidisciplinary environment with technical and quality stakeholders
  • Strong analytical skills, proactive mindset, and team player attitude
  • Fluent in English
    (spoken and written) – German is a plus
