Bioprocess Engineer (On-Site – Visp, Switzerland)

Duration: 12 months contract with possible extension

We are seeking experienced
Bioprocess Engineers
. This is a unique opportunity for professionals with a background in
Microbial
,
Mammalian
, or
BioConjugates
manufacturing to play a critical role in driving improvement initiatives, supporting operational readiness, and leading the roll-out of new systems and processes within a GMP-regulated environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the roll-out of new
    SAP functionalities
    , ensuring accurate and up-to-date change management and manufacturing documentation (e.g. SOPs, batch records).
  • Act as the functional lead for cross-functional project teams, including production operators, supervisors, and subject matter experts.
  • Accountable for project execution, performance tracking, and successful implementation of assigned initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain training documentation for manufacturing teams, plant logistics, and related support functions.
  • Provide operational support for
    clinical and/or commercial manufacturing
    , particularly within
    Downstream Processing (DSP)
    areas such as capture, intermediate purification, polishing, or drug substance filling.

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in
    Biotechnology
    ,
    Biochemical Engineering
    ,
    Biochemistry
    , or a related Life Science discipline.
  • Proven industry experience in
    Biologics Manufacturing
    , especially
    Downstream Processing
    or
    BioConjugates
    , with hands-on knowledge of chromatography, ultra-/diafiltration, and dead-end filtration.
  • Solid understanding of
    GMP
    practices and compliance in biopharma production environments.
  • Strong hands-on experience with
    SAP
    , especially in material management and Bill of Materials (BOM).
  • Practical knowledge of
    logistics
    workflows within a production setting.
  • Proficient user of
    Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES)
    .
  • Fluent in
    English and German
    , both written and spoken.
  • Team-oriented, structured, and able to work independently with a proactive, problem-solving approach.
  • Open-minded and adaptable to evolving technologies and processes.
