For one of our clients, a well-established international trading company, we are currently recruiting a Grains Operator to join their team in Paris. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to play a key role in supporting end-to-end grains trading operations across procurement, logistics, and contract execution. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in grains trading operations, a meticulous approach to contract and payment processes, and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.

Your mission:

  • Track shipments in coordination with charterers and/or shipping companies
  • Ensure secure payments through credit insurance, letters of credit, and effective invoicing and payment follow-up
  • Draft, verify, and execute contracts, including payment terms, quality standards, and legal clauses
  • Oversee full contract execution cycle (purchase, sale, transport), ensure accurate system data entry, and monitor stock levels in port silos
  • Ensure regulatory and compliance documentation is correctly submitted to banks and insurers
  • Update systems with contract, invoice, and provision data; manage export documentation; track costs and oversee bid/performance bond monitoring
  • Manage relationships with external service providers (e.g. inspection companies, Banks, etc...), in coordination with traders

Your profile:

  • Degree in International Business, Export, or Logistics
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in grains trading operations
  • Solid understanding of GAFTA contract terms
  • Proficient in English (written and spoken)
  • Analytical, detail-oriented, and adaptable; able to manage complex workflows and multiple priorities
