We are looking for a dynamic and detail-oriented Lab Manager to support the operations of our labs at Superlab in Lausanne, Switzerland.

Your role will be crucial in supporting a team of biologists, chemists and data scientists in their daily work. This is a part-time position (50%), with some flexibility in agreed work schedule.

Your main tasks

As a key member of the Lausanne team, you will:

• Take responsibility for procurement at the Swiss site: placement of orders, receipt of deliveries, coordination and support of invoice approval and payment
• Keep oversight of consumables stocks, and of maintenance schedules of instruments and other equipment
• Coordinate the (chemical) waste management & pickup
• Contribute to care and maintenance of the chemical inventory, and the registration of new chemicals in the database
• Support activities in the cell culture lab as needed (maintenance of cell line stocks, preparation of assay plates, routine mycoplasma testing)

The successful candidate:

• Is highly organized and an excellent team player, willing to provide a service to the team, proactive and largely self-sufficient in daily tasks
• Has the knowledge of working in a lab - prior experience as lab technician and/or lab manager are mandatory
• Experience in cell culture is a strong advantage
• Is willing to learn and adapt to new software solutions
• Speaks English and French at a professional level (English is corporate language in Orbis)
