Lonza Visp, Switzerland seeks Manufacturing Technical Specialist in Visp, Switzerland with a Life Sciences background and Biotechnology passion to join the Tech OPS team for commercial manufacturing

What you'll do:

• Responsible for facility and equipment on technical level in the different BioConjugates assets.

• Lead for technical aspects of the equipment (e.g. malfunctions, maintenance) of the assigned area.

• Develop and supervise maintenance plans and handle walkdowns.

• Coordinate maintenance scheduling and management with Engineering / manufacturing schedule.

• Maintain EHS risk assessment, update and ensure compliance and implementation of measures from incident reports and changes.

• Coordinate LOTOTO: Organization, material, point of contact and manage execution.

• Manage malfunctions, follow-up and implement changes, participate in meetings.

• Coordinate TCR (technical change management in SAP) and Change Control (Trackwise).

• Conduct qualification, re-qualification, and drive investments/improvements.

• Maintain all equipment-related SOPs/documentation.

• Act as the main contact to different departments such as Utilities, Engineering, EMR, Monitoring QC, and Hygiene.

What we're looking for:

• Chemical or lab technician (e.g. CPT, Chemie und Pharma Technologe) with proven experience.

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Biotechnology, Biochemical Engineering, Biochemistry, or a related Life Science subject, or Bachelor's holder with experience in pharma production or the chemical industry.

• Proven technical know-how and industry experience.

• Experience in bio manufacturing would be an advantage.

• Understanding of GMP and bioprocess technology.

• Fluent in English or German
