Role Overview

The Manufacturing Specialist / Plant Foreman is responsible for the technical and logistical execution of production campaigns in a bioconjugate manufacturing plant. You will work in an interdisciplinary environment, supporting projects, production activities, and process improvements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support planning and engineering phases to ensure technical compliance and smooth production campaigns
  • Provide organisational and operational support to production, including monitoring outside normal working hours (on-call duty)
  • Prepare cGMP-compliant documentation with plant leadership, R&D, and biotech teams
  • Train and instruct operators on plant engineering and production processes
  • Ensure adherence to operating regulations and production protocols, and intervene in case of deviations
  • Promote effective communication across internal teams and sites
  • Drive continuous improvement (6S, Lean, Kaizen) while ensuring safety, hygiene, environmental, and quality standards

Qualifications

  • Completed technical training or higher education (apprenticeship, technical exam, Bachelor's/Master's)
  • Experience in chemical, biotech, or food production is an advantage
  • Ideally some exposure to ISO and/or GMP environments
  • Proficient in MS Office; comfortable with electronic systems
  • Fluent German (written & spoken)
