The Team

A&M's Tax practice is made up of experienced international tax law professionals dedicated to providing customized tax advice to clients and investors across a broad range of industries. The Switzerland Tax Team offers expertise across diverse services, including Global Transaction Tax (GTT), Global Minimum Tax (GMT), Indirect Tax, Private Equity Funds Tax Compliance, People Services, Corporate Tax, Tax Compliance Services, Operating Model Optimization, and Transfer Pricing.

This is a rare opportunity to join a fast-growing market player during an exciting "start-up phase" of the Swiss tax team. As a Manager / Assistant Director, you will navigate complex tax matters, lead high-quality projects, and contribute to the growth of one of the fastest-expanding tax practices worldwide.

How you will contribute

• Provide advanced analyses and strategic advice on complex tax issues, translating them into actionable solutions.
• Lead buy-side and sell-side transaction tax projects, including tax due diligence reports, transaction structuring, and tax rulings with Swiss tax authorities.
• Engage in cross-border transactions, collaborating with clients and tax authorities.
• Lead projects aimed at improving tax compliance and efficiency.
• Collaborate with various service lines and subject-matter specialists to deepen and broaden your tax expertise.
• Mentor and guide junior colleagues, contributing to their professional development.
• Work closely with senior leadership on business development, client pitches, and marketing initiatives.

Qualifications

• At least 4–5 years of relevant work experience in tax advisory, preferably with a focus on transaction tax (M&A).
• Swiss certified tax expert qualification (diplomierter/ Steuerexpertin/Steuerexperte) with experience in a Manager role or above.
• Solid understanding of GTT tax concepts and their practical application.
• Strong leadership skills, with a passion for mentoring and developing team members.
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and analytical skills.
• Entrepreneurial and client-focused mindset.
• Strong communication skills in German and English; additional languages are advantageous.
