Job Title: Captiva & Kofax Lead Developer

Experience: 5+ years

Key Responsibilities

  • Document Capture & Workflow Design
  • Design and implement end-to-end document capture workflows using Captiva Capture and Kofax Capture (KC).
  • Configure batch classes, troubleshoot batch issues, and optimize capture processes for high-volume environments.
  • Develop OCR/ICR solutions using Captiva Advanced Recognition and configure Kofax KTM for document classification and data extraction.
  • Configure locators, evaluators, and knowledge bases for accurate OCR/ICR processing.
  • Automation & Integration
  • Automate workflows using Kofax TotalAgility (KTA) and Captiva APIs, including API integrations with enterprise applications.
  • Implement and support Kofax Import/Export Connectors (KIC) and Captiva export modules for email, folder, and text-based imports.
  • Integrate with Web Services (REST/SOAP) and downstream systems.
  • Customization & Development
  • Implement custom logic and advanced processing using .NET (C#/VB) and scripting for both Captiva and Kofax environments.
  • Develop and optimize SQL Server queries and stored procedures for data validation and reporting.
  • Maintenance & Support
  • Perform upgrades, patches, and migrations for Captiva and Kofax environments.
  • Provide production support, root-cause analysis, and implement preventive measures across multiple lines of business.
  • Monitor and tune performance of Captiva and Kofax components.
  • Compliance & Documentation
  • Ensure security, compliance, and audit readiness for capture workflows and automation solutions.
  • Document technical designs, architecture diagrams, and test plans for all implementations.
  • Collaboration
  • Work closely with business SMEs to define capture rules, validation logic, and workflow requirements.

Required Skills

  • Strong experience with Captiva Capture, Kofax Capture, KTM, and KTA.
  • Proficiency in OCR/ICR configuration, knowledge base tuning, and advanced recognition.
  • Hands-on experience with .NET (C#/VB) and scripting for customization.
  • Solid knowledge of SQL Server (queries, stored procedures).
  • Familiarity with API integrations, Captiva APIs, and Kofax connectors.
  • Ability to troubleshoot production issues and optimize performance.
  • Experience in upgrades, patches, and migrations within Captiva and Kofax environments.
  • Strong documentation and communication skills.
