Company Description
**MET International AG (METI)** was established in 2010 in order to consolidate and develop **MET Group’s** international natural gas sales and purchase portfolio, as well as to establish a trading arm for commodity lines.
**METI** is responsible for providing highly competitive supply structures to its gas and power sales affiliates, originating additional positions on the European wholesale and the international LNG markets, as well as trading around international positions.
Job Description
- Collaborate with Power Analysts to analyse fundamental and technical analysis and formulate trading strategies
- Take structured positions (cross-border capacities, geo-spreads)
- Ensure compliance with regulations and internal guidelines and strive to eliminate errors
- Collaborate with the risk team in evaluating and communicating risk taken
- Closely cooperate with traders, meteorologist, data engineers and developers
- Support and share knowledge with junior team members
Qualifications
- Proven track record as Power Trader with a focus on CWE/SWE
- Experience in curve spec-trading in liquid EU markets (DE driven)
- Understanding geographical spreads and their drivers in the region
- Proven experience of using fundamental electricity market models, knowledge of SEE&CEE markets
- Experience in at least one additional CWE/SWE market is required (FR, ES, CZ, IT preferably)
- Goal oriented, team orientated and strong communication skills In English
