An exciting opportunity for an experienced long-term power trader to join a leading European energy trading group. The role focuses on proprietary trading in power markets, covering Germany, France, Spain, and Belgium. You'll manage your own book and collaborate closely with analysts and quants to develop strategies across the curve. This is a great opportunity for a seasoned trader with a strong P&L-to-VaR track record who values autonomy and a well-resourced platform. What they're looking for: The focus is on senior power traders, specifically long term power traders Covering markets including Germany, France, Spain, and Belgium Ideally with 5-10 years of experience (or more) Candidates should be independent prop traders, capable of running their own book You will be managing your own book Not asset backed traders, not flow, not market makers A strong track record is essential, with 5-6x P&L to VaR as a benchmark, ideally more Experience across curve trading, and month-ahead & quarter ahead markets up to cal+1 is highly valued Have experience closely collaborating with analysts and quants This is your chance to contribute to a fast-paced and innovative environment while building a remarkable career with our client.
