Head Data Enterprise Architecture, 80%-100%

We are looking for a seasoned, visionary Enterprise Data Architect who possesses the passion and experience to take a leading role within Zurich’s Data & Business Intelligence (hereafter referred as DBI) department as Head of Enterprise Data Architecture.

You will join our multidisciplinary ‘DBI Lighthouse team’ where we align data solutions and services with the strategic business priorities of Zurich. Zurich’s corporate data strategy, data value creation and enterprise data architecture are in our focus as well data & AI governance and AI innovation.

You will lead and manage a team of talented enterprise data architects to bring our data strategy to life: design, create, deploy, and manage Zurich enterprise data architecture.

This role is available full time.

**Key Responsibilities**:
You will take a leader role in our global data transformation redefining the way we work, our solutions and enterprise data platforms.
- Ensure alignment between data strategy and solution design decisions by providing guardrails: design principles, architecture blueprints, reference data model and strategic platform decisions
- Define group’s data architecture and roadmap, delivering several first of its kind engagements unifying cross business unit capability
- Oversee Zurich’s data ecosystem and enable the orchestration of cross company data products (collection, storage and consumption of Zurich’s data assets)
- Oversee the development and continuous refinement of logical and physical data models and ensure that new data entities are captured in a systematic way
- Model the future state of data architecture and build guidelines and blueprints to promote standard solutions and best practices
- Investigate and propose new conceptual architectures to support the Zurich data strategy and address the business priorities, working closely with Zurich data strategists
- Define & execute strategies to reduce the complexity of the data landscape with special focus on Enterprise Platforms, working closely with our Solution Architects
- Define the data architecture framework, standards, and principles, including modeling, metadata and reference data (in close alignment with Enterprise Data Management)
- Create a strong collaboration and shared architecture ownership with other Global Architecture Teams (incl. internal Solution / Infrastructure Architects) and Business Unit Architecture teams

**Your skills and experience**:

- You are a recognized leader and expert in data & analytics at a global services company. Data & analytics is your passion
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or Engineering
- 15+ years of experience in Enterprise Data Architecture, of which 10+ years in a leading role at a Fortune 500 company with global footprint
- International track record with local work experience in Europe and growth markets (e.g. Asia)
- Proven expertise in technology executive leadership and data & analytics innovation, intelligent automation and artificial intelligence.
- Proven expert, thought leader and functional team leader in the following data & analytics domains: Intelligent automation, artificial intelligence and big data
- Experience with Cloud environments (e.g. AWS) is preferred
- Strategic thinking with equally effective execution planning, judgement, and an agile iterative mindset
- Deep appreciation for efficiency and the ability to take a pragmatic approach to product development and reliable enterprise data architecture delivery
- Exceptional communication and leadership skills, including the ability to articulate complex data issues and to gain the support from internal and external and executive stakeholders
