Essential Duties & Responsiblities

The Enterprise Data Architect is a key member of the Enterprise Data Center of Excellence. They will set the data vision, strategy, and roadmap to enable us to become a data driven organization where data is a strategic enterprise asset that is available and accessible to everyone. They will develop conceptual and logical data definitions and specifications for the organization and ensure that the data architecture is optimized to meet the requirements and needs of the business. The architect will provide leadership, strategic decision making and guidance in relation to emerging data trends such as data mesh and data fabric to help us solve for complex challenges across the various data assets we maintain. They will also support various data-related initiatives taking place across the enterprise to ensure that a shared, re-usable framework is developed to provide data-as-a-service with a long-term, strategic mindset.- Develop and maintain the company's enterprise data architecture and data management standards.- Data Management to supporting a Data driven Culture and organization, including:
- Implementing FAIR Data Principles (Findability, Accessibility, Interoperability, Reusability)-
- Management of Data Assets and data-as-a-service & self-service capabilities-
- Data Ownership, roles & responsibilities-
- Data Literacy-
- Building Data communities & guilds-
- Define and maintain the data strategy and roadmap, including the data migration strategy, master data management strategy and data and information architecture strategy.- Provide Data Architecture leadership and guidance to development teams to ensure that solutions align with Enterprise Data Architecture and standards.- Develop and maintain Enterprise Data Architecture artifacts, including system diagrams, data flow diagrams, and other documentation.- Define data requirements and develop functional specifications for new or enhanced systems and solutions.- Support the technology solutions evaluate and provide data relevant recommendations on hardware, software, and infrastructure to meet business needs.- Develop Data standards and guidelines for technology solutions to ensure consistency and scalability across the organization.- Establish data architecture roadmaps, reference and target architecture, architectural and design principles, best practices, patterns, and standards, oversee alignment to defined data architecture principles and standards.- Analyze business requirements and identify data architecture solutions that meet business needs.- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify data integration opportunities and develop integration strategies.- Design, implement, and maintain data models, data dictionaries, and data lineage documentation.- Develop and implement data governance policies and procedures.- Ensure data quality and accuracy by implementing data quality standards and monitoring data quality metrics.- Identify data security and privacy risks and partner with Security and Privacy teams to ensure data is secure and in compliance with GDPR, CCPA, Data Privacy and data retention policies.- Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in data architecture and data management.

Job Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or related field- Minimum of 7 years of experience in data architecture and data management- Experience working in a large-scale enterprise environment.- Proven experience in designing and implementing enterprise data architecture solutions.- Strong knowledge of data modeling, data integration, and data governance concepts- Experience working with and leveraging enterprise data management solutions and platforms (i.e., MDM, data governance, metadata management, ETL, data quality management, data warehouse management)- Ability to work in close partnership with business and technology leaders to maintain the architecture in line with data strategy.- Data architecture experience in support of diagnostic, predictive or prescriptive analytics- Hands-on experience with database management systems and data warehousing technologies- Experience with data security and privacy regulations and best practices- Ability to envision and balance strategic, long-term data
