For our client, the company F. Hoffmann La Roche based in Basel, we are looking for a Associate/Scientist in Protein Science - Cell Technologies (M/F/d)

We are offering a unique opportunity to join our team in the Roche Innovation Center Basel as Associate/Scientist Protein Science in cell technologies and protein purification. This position is located in Lead Discovery, a department within the Therapeutic Modalities function, where the discovery of chemical starting points for further optimization in medicinal chemistry is a primary focus. We closely collaborate with our therapeutic areas and functions to convert hypotheses into innovative therapeutics.

Aufgaben
- Working on Protein Science aspects throughout the process from gene to protein with a particular focus on small scale protein production with mammalian expression systems
- As an individual contributor in a matrix organization, you are lab-based and work with automated small-scaleexpression and purification workflows for high throughput protein production and contribute to the continuousoptimization
- Using your interest in lab automation to contribute to the continuous optimization of the established workflows from cell culture to protein analytics and data handling

Qualifikation
- Apprenticeship or University Degree (Bachelor, Master, PhD) in biology, biochemistry, biotechnology or similar with superior experience in state of the art recombinant protein expression systems, expression yield optimization and accompanying cell culture techniques (\*\*\*\*\*)
- Min. 3 years hands-on expertise in wet-lab work and in recombinant protein expression systems (insect and/ormammalian systems) (\*\*\*\*\*)
- Knowledge in all major protein purification methodologies as well as protein-based experimental methods (\*\*\*\*\*)
- Very good English orally and written is a must, German is a plus (\*\*\*\*\*)
- Good IT skills MS Office, Google Suite
- Efficient communicator with an aptitude for continuous learning, a solution-seeker with a sense of urgency to drive projects forward
- Independent
