**About the role**:
**As Procurement Manager, you will **join a team of Global Procurement associates responsible to handle Direct Materials spend in Europe, based in our European Headquarter in Eysins, Switzerland.

You will be dedicated to 2 product portfolios which are highly strategic for BD : Primary Packaging and Sterilization.

You will collaborate with over 15 production sites across Europe, travelling to meet internal and external partners on-site a few times a month (20-25% overall travelling).

You will work in close contact with a wide variety of functions internally (category and sourcing group directors / managers, global and regional category managers, site leaders, country leaders, site procurement leaders and associates, regional shared service center ).

**Main responsibilities will include**:

- To complete sourcing strategies for the assigned spend categories as defined in the three to five-year roadmap, in order to achieve Value Delivery while ensuring a higher product quality.
- Be involved both in implementation and consolidation activities. Implementation generally includes overall project management, procurement aspects of supplier qualification, risk mitigation programs, and appropriate implementation of the source-to-pay process inclusive of customer-centric support content and preferred payment methods.
- Lead supplier management activities and complete supplier compliance activities for assigned suppliers. Suppliers are generally regional in nature and may span only a few sites, a business or a function.
- Be responsible for achieving budgeted savings targets, and for an assigned supply base, developing value plans, supplier management, and achieving value targets within the assigned sites and/or categories.
- Be responsible for customer relationships with partners for assigned categories and/or sites. You will handle a wide range of two-way communication with and in support of site procurement that arises in the course of implementation while demonstrating close collaboration and alignment with category group leaders and global strategic sourcing managers.
- Supply to the global category teams in the development, communication and approval of sourcing strategies, collecting and providing regional business requirements and regional supply market information and supply practices.
- Your performance will be measured against agreed cost savings and value targets, supplier compliance as well as proficiency in the use of the applicable tools for the strategic sourcing process.

**About you**:

- High degree-level educated
- Experienced professional in procurement/purchasing as well as in cost management practices and supplier management.
- Strong on quantitative and financial analysis and project management, you have participated in strategic sourcing processes and have proven fundamentals in purchasing.
- A strong communicator, you are outspoken and able to influence without direct authority. You also have excellent problem-solving skills and drive for results.
- You are proficient in English; other European languages would be a plus (especially French and Spanish).

This role will require 20 to 25% of travelling in Europe on a regular basis.
