Our Opening and Your Responsibilities
In this role, you are responsible for defining the strategy, architecture and sustainable solutions in the Network solution area. You lead a team of Solution Architects to design, plan and build global network solutions. You closely collaborate with the Network Operations team and act as Service Manager for all Network Services.
In this role, your responsibilities would include:
- Further develop METTLER TOLEDO's global network infrastructure, including cloud integration
- Manage Global Wide Area Network, which connects more than 140 sites
- Review, refresh and evolve data centre network infrastructure in our three global datacenters in US, CH and MY
- Definition of new standards for all sites, e.g. LAN for the group and develop the monitoring of our Local Area Network installations for supporting the end-to-end performance of our global network
- Network services like SD-WAN, VPN, Load Balancing, DNS, DHCP, Certificates
- Strategy and sustainable solutions within the Network solution area as well as its integration with other solution areas along the solution lifecycle
- Plan capacity and actively manage project roadmap in the Network services area
- Work with other functional leads for project alignment and during execution
- Manage relationships with suppliers and ensure the highest level of service quality
- Manage global Network operation team and service providers within the respective area
What You Need to Succeed
Following requirements are necessary for this role:
- Master/Bachelor degree in Engineering (Informatics, Computer Science or equivalent)
- At least five years of experience within a similar role in a global environment
- CCNA certification is a big advantage
- Ability to communicate across different functional teams with various cultural backgrounds
Experience in Project Management
- Knowledge with Ownership end-to-end and strong Quality focused mindset
- Strong People Management & Leadership Personality in a decentralized and matrix environment
- Open for international travel depending on business needs (approx. 10 %)
- Fluent in English, German is a big advantage
