Meggitt Fribourg’s site employs 450 employees and develops, manufactures and sells world-wide a complete range of transducers and electronic systems for the monitoring of engines, turbines and other rotating machinery in both the aerospace and energy industries.
**The position**:
To further strengthen our Sales team for the Aerospace market, we are currently looking for a “**Business Development Manager**”.
As “**Business Development Manager**” you will participate in the definition, planning and implementation of the Aerospace growth strategy by identifying, assessing and delivering profitable growth opportunities and you will ensure proper management of assigned customers.
The main responsibilities for this role are:
- Actively pursue growth opportunities within assigned customers or region and manage them in our CRM system
- Properly manage and lead bid activities as Bid Manager according to the Program Lifecycle Management rules and sales processes and work in collaboration with our Commercial team to lead commercial negotiations with the customers up to contract award
- Provide support to specific customer requests by forwarding and coordinating internal actions and responses
- Provide support to other departments (Engineering, Finance, Programmes, Customer Support, etc.) for any specific issues with assigned customers
- Actively monitor the market segments and provide information / updates on needs and trends related to our portfolio as well as competition
- Support the Product Group yearly strategy process and the Aero Steering Committee as needed
**Your profile**:
- Mechanical or Electronics Engineering degree (or equivalent) with a proven experience in a similar position (minimum 5 years), ideally in the Aerospace business or any related industries
- Fluent in English with good knowledge of French (any other language is an asset)
- Customer focused, strong prioritization and excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Resilient, solution oriented and passionate
- Fast learner and can-do attitude
- Ability to work autonomously while enjoying being part of a team
- Willing to travel up to 25% of the time
