We are looking for the right people to join our well-funded, growing startup and to help us to continue to build exciting technology that makes our users happy. Right now, we are looking for a Deal Desk Expert to join our team at KNIME in Konstanz or Zurich. Who you are You are an experienced, proactive, and forward-thinking finance/legal professional with a background and broad knowledge of the nature of deals of a software company (deal management, quote-to-cash, revenue recognition). You have experience as a business partner to Finance and Sales and you are fluent in German and English. Ideally, you bring the experience of working in a corporate setup and have already implemented new systems and processes related to deal desk. As a plus, you have experience working with Salesforce CRM. As an excellent communicator, you understand the requirements of colleagues who don’t have a legal or finance background and are willing and able to explain complex matters in simple words. That’s the job You are the go-to person for any kind of deal desk question - from RFP requests, deal management, approvals, revenue recognition, and invoicing. You will be the sparring partner of the account managers in terms of deal acceptance. You will be the gatekeeper - You check deals before their completion from a legal, financial, and execution perspective. If deals don't follow our standard processes, you will discuss solutions with the Customer Care team or management directly. You also monitor the process of deal execution and identify obstacles and suggest improvements. As our specialists for deals, it is imperative that you are highly responsive and able to work independently.
