Data Science Lead Plasma

**About** the role**:
As the Global Data Science Lead for the Global Manufacturing & Supply (GMS) Plasma OPU, you will play a crucial role in driving the design and implementation of the overall GMS Data Science strategy. Your primary responsibility will be to develop and own a detailed scale-up and delivery execution roadmap for data science within the GMS Plasma OPU. This includes managing both functional and cross-functional interdependencies to ensure seamless collaboration and successful implementation.

You will be responsible for managing, gathering, and executing the data science needs of the GMS Plasma OPU, working closely with stakeholders to identify and prioritize initiatives. Your expertise in data science will be invaluable as you advise on short and medium-term focus areas, ensuring that the data science initiatives align with the overall goals of the organization.

One of your key objectives will be to establish and ensure the presence of robust Data Science capabilities within the GMS Plasma OPU. This will involve establishing expert Data Science capability at all levels of data analytics, fostering a culture of data-driven decision-making, and promoting the use of advanced analytics techniques to drive operational excellence. You will also be responsible for supporting Data Scientists and Citizen Data Scientists in the validation of AI models, empirically demonstrating interpretability and explainability to understand the value generation in production with the Takeda Predictive Insights Centre.

Additionally, you will serve as the Data Science link across local, functional, and global GMS OPU teams, facilitating collaboration between Data Science, IT, Engineering, and the GMS Plasma OPU. Your ability to effectively communicate and bridge the gap between these teams will be crucial in driving successful data-driven initiatives and achieving organizational objectives.

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience in driving data science strategies and initiatives within a global operational unit
- Strong expertise in data analytics, machine learning, and statistical modeling
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to effectively work with stakeholders at all levels
- Experience in establishing and leading data science teams is highly desirable

**How you will contribute**:
Global Data Science Lead for the GMS Plasma Operational Units (OPU):

- Implement the GMS Plasma OPU Data Science strategy by reviewing data science possibilities, initiatives, and requests in collaboration with IT and GMSGQ stakeholders. Advise on prioritization for short and medium-term focus.
- Support GMS Plasma OPU Data Scientists and Citizen Data Scientist in AI model validation.
- Develop and establish internal and external data science capabilities within the GMS Plasma OPU, ensuring alignment with the defined data scientist profile.
- Drive data science training initiatives for the GMS Plasma OPU in collaboration with GMSCI Data Science Training excellence.
- Manage the portfolio of data science initiatives within the GMS Plasma OPU.
- Ensure representation of the GMS Plasma OPU in the GMSGQ data science community.

Technical/Functional (Line) Expertise
- Strong expertise and experience in Digital/Big Data Analytics/ Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning algorithms, respective programming knowledge
- Capabilities to translate business needs into data analytics concepts and the other way
- Hands-on, able to implement and execute data science initiatives, analysis, machine learning
- High level project management skills

- A firm grasp of industry, scientific and digital, artificial intelligence, machine learning and data science trends and market conditions, to develop solutions enhance compliance and quality of life for patients
