**What we do**: The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) works worldwide to provide protection and humanitarian assistance to people affected by conflict and armed violence. We take action in response to emergencies and, at the same time, promote respect for international humanitarian law. We are an independent and neutral organization, and our mandate stems essentially from the Geneva Conventions of 1949. We work closely with the National Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies and with their International Federation to ensure a concerted, rational, and rapid humanitarian response to the needs of the victims of armed conflict or any other situation of internal violence. We direct and coordinate the international activities conducted in these situations. **Purpose**: - The Information Management Coordinator (IMCo) is responsible for both technical and strategic information management (IM) coordination at one or several Department levels. Ensures the Departments manage information efficiently - both the technical side with the proper organization, processes, and tools and IM's organizational development at HQ and in line with related institutional guidelines and practices. - IMCo works closely with the other Information Governance (IGOV) team members to ensure all information management-related issues are addressed and questions answered. Acts as a change agent & enabler for all Information Management in the covered Departments. In this regard, IMCo is responsible for ensuring a roadmap in place and the guidelines, processes, and tools that are known and implemented in the departments. Builds capacities and support within the teams - particularly those of the (Executive) assistant and IM Officer (E)AIMO- so the roadmap is implemented, and guidelines, processes, or tools are mastered. - IMCo performs various tasks individually or with the IM team to achieve IM department goals. - IMCo develops synergies with all information and data protection professionals to better ensure the spread & fostering of organizational knowledge, the capture and security of information and data, the proper management & structure of the information management. **Accountabilities & Functional responsibilities**: - In collaboration with IGOV and based on the IM global strategy, develop a 2-3-year IM roadmap for the covered departments, considering their specificities. - Innovative/visionary - propose and pilot novel solutions building on the IM global strategy and in close coordination with IGOV to enhance workflows and information management in a complex environment. - Ensure coherence in information management practices in the covered departments. - Draw up action plans to be discussed/validated with the management of the covered departments; ensure the follow-up of these action plans and supports the (Executive) assistant & IM Officer to implement them. - Implement, promote, and monitor IM guidelines, projects, and tools and more broadly IM activities to achieve better IM consistency. - Based on analysis of needs and processes, propose, and implement solutions to improve the management of the information life cycle - Actively seek and develop internal collaboration and synergies with other departments - particularly with staff in charge of data management - to "raise flags & ensure that IM guidelines are applied. - Contribute to global thinking and orientations regarding IM strategies. - Evaluate and ensure that IM competencies are in place and that the setup is adapted to needs (including IM relays) - Together with the (E)AIMO, organize and facilitate IM seminars/workshops. - Act as a technical supervisor of the (Executive) assistants & IM officers: participate in their recruitment; advise, support and provide/arrange training and coaching to build and develop their skills on all IM related aspects. - Advise on physical filing and semi-current archives as per institutional guidelines. - Ensure compliance with the information and data security (including Data Protection Office DPO) recommendations & other institutional approved rules. - Ensure compliance of access management & permissions with the access policy. - Raise awareness on Information Security & promote good practices, propose solutions and/or implement actions for a better implementation of IHT and ensure compliance with the policy, together with BISO of covered department. **Additional duties**: - Write governance on tools and practices autonomously. - Monitor and implement the access to information policy (transparency policy). **Scope & Impact**: - Geographic remit: Departments covered (2-3) **Relationships**: - Internally, interacts with (Executive) Assistants & IM Officers, Department management, Division management, heads of unit, and IGOV unit. - Externally, interacts with peers in other organizations. **Education and experience required**: - University degree in IM or other relevant certification. - Certified Information Professional (CIP) ce
