Group Risk Assurance Control Manager

The risk assurance control specialist will be responsible for securing the operating processes by developing a robust risk assurance control environment in the second line of defense, through the development and formalization of key controls and ensuring their monitoring.

YOUR MISSION:
- Develop and maintain risk assurance control plans for the bank’s key activities and conduct periodic evaluation of their control environments;- Monitor audit points, self-identified issues and KRIs in order to ensure they are taken into account within the risk assurance control plans;- Collaborate with the wider Operational Risk Team during the assessment of RCSAs in order to ensure there are no gaps in the control environments defined by the first line of defense;- Effective and efficient coordination with other second line of defense departments performing assurance activities in order to ensure there is no duplication of activities in areas where these teams also perform risk assurance;- Communicate design and operational deficiencies in controls, and recommend corrective actions and improvements;- Contribute to follow-up on the timely implementation of recommendations and actions plans, and secure sustainable solutioning;- Assist the wider Operational Risk Team with the review of RCSAs and evaluation of operational risk incidents related to a control environment deficiency;- Work closely with cross-functional partners and international teams to ensure alignment on risk management practices and controls initiatives;- Participate in the development of the culture of risk management within the bank;- Participate in ad-hoc projects and data analysis upon request by senior management;- Produce high quality risk assurance reports and memos for senior management and governance committees;- Create and maintain team procedures, annual assurance plans and testing scripts;- Collaborate with the bank's internal and external auditors

DESIRED PROFILE:
- Prior experience of 3 to 5 years in a similar role or in risk management audit (internal or external) within private banking in Switzerland;- Excellent knowledge of banking processes and activities including private banking, operations, trading, etc;- Very good knowledge of the field of risk management;- Good knowledge of the Swiss regulatory framework and the expectations of the various stakeholders (regulators, external auditors, etc);- Ability to establish and maintain an effective collaboration with a diverse community of stakeholders;- A strong team player, who is reliable and independent, able to prioritize and work to demanding deadlines;- Editorial skills (reports) and procedure development;- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) in French and English. Any other language is a plus;- Resident in Switzerland.
