Unmanned Surface and Ground Vehicle Lead

As the Unmanned Surface and Ground Vehicle Lead you will work across Auterions full technology stack bringing our state of the art autonomous vehicle solutions from the air to the ground and to the sea. You will work closely with OEMs and end users from government, military and enterprise agencies around the world to develop tactical solutions for ground and water operations. You will lead and engage with a cross functional team of UI, Autonomy, Control, Embedded and Test engineers to bring these solutions to life and solve real-world problems for our customers.

**Responsibilities and Duties**:

- Lead the integration of the Auterion platform into new UGV and USV vehicles.
- Develop new features, improvements, and innovations in UGV and USV technology to build and maintain a competitive edge in the market.
- Build and execute project plans, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet or exceed quality standards.
- Coordinate with external partners and manufacturers to ensure seamless integration of autonomous vehicle systems.
- Implement and maintain robust testing and quality assurance processes to guarantee the reliability, safety, and performance of these systems.
- Collaborate with engineers to solve complex technical challenges related to UGV and USV design, propulsion systems, sensors, and control systems.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including executives, project managers, and team members, providing regular updates on project status, challenges, and opportunities.
- Help build the team by hiring and mentoring new engineers with exceptional talent.

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- 5+ years of experience in leading engineering teams
- Experience delivering robotic systems on significant government or enterprise programs
- Proficient in C/C++ development on Windows, Android and Linux platforms
- Deep understanding of programming robotic systems in ROS/ROS2
- Working knowledge of PX4 or comparable auto-pilot technology
- Understanding of containerization technologies such as Docker
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to keep a global team fully informed
- Willingness to travel and meet with end customers including into elevated risk areas.
