**About The Team**

Swiss Re Institute (SRI) is an important differentiating component of Swiss Re's strategy. We create and deliver ground-breaking R&D and robust technological capabilities to generate data-driven insights on existing and new risk pools, and the economic context within which we operate.

While most of your peers and key partners are based in Zurich, the team is composed of an international workforce based in different locations and serving a global customer basis.

**About The Role**

What is the role of the Analytics Engineering team?
- Data Exploration & Consulting: Act as a connector between business and data, advising on how best to leverage data and analytics to improve business outcomes
- Data Modelling: Build a user-centric data asset that is modelled around how our business understands the data

**About You**
- Final year Bachelor student, Master student or graduate with a quantitative background
- Strong communicator, able to clearly communicate sophisticated technical concepts
- Extensive experience in analyzing data and drawing conclusions
- Experienced Python user as demonstrated in multiple projects
- Basic understanding of data modelling concepts and working with data pipelines (e.g. SQL)
- Hands-on experience with Apache Spark (e.g. Pyspark) and a basic understanding of distributed systems is a plus
- Working knowledge of advanced analytics (i.e. Machine Learning, Statistics, Econometrics) is a plus
- Proficient in English (no German required)
- And most importantly, you are a people person that loves collaborating with others to find excellent solutions to sophisticated business problems

This internship is based in
