Lumentum Switzerland AG is a leading design centre of ultrafast pico
- and femtosecond laser systems featuring excellent performance and long-term opto-mechanical stability. We seek an intern to work in a fast paced, international development environment. The position will be limited to minimum 9 months and maximum 1 year.

Job Responsibilities:

- Characterization and analysis of laser systems and opto-mechanical assemblies.
- Design and build beam pointing measurement and stabilization systems
- Collaborate with the process engineering and automation teams for instrument testing, lab measurements, and system validation.
- Use of test and measurement equipment for laser characterization (beam profiler, position-sensitive detectors, autocorrelators, power meters, spectrometers, oscilloscopes, optical and RF spectrum analysers, etc.)
- Analyse, document and present test data
- Write work instructions in English.

**Requirements**:
:

- Bachelor/Master degree in Physics, Lasers, Photonics, Engineering.
- Experience working with optical components, and optical alignment set-ups
- Experience working in a lab environment
- Teamwork orientation with good communication, documentation, and presentation skills
- Computer knowledge: MS Office
- python, MATLAB, LabView programming knowledge is a plus
- Self-motivated, able to plan tasks and small projects, to adhere to deadlines
- Fluency in English (oral and written)
