Research in the Pieters Lab is aimed at understanding the mechanisms via which cells sense and maintain the size of multicellular populations at their appropriate density. In particular, we investigate the role of the coronin pathway to achieve proper cell population size control. We use a combination of innovative in vitro, ex vivo and in vivo approaches that cover the entire spectrum from molecules to organisms to unravel the mechanisms underlying cell population size regulation. We are currently recruiting a highly motivated laboratory manager / research assistant.

You will be joining a dynamic group of scientists with experience spanning from basic biochemistry and cell biology to in vivo modeling of disease. We collaborate with our excellent and state-of-the-art core facilities. The position is initially for one year, with the possibility of further extension. Salary and benefits will be according to University of Basel standards.
