Microcaps is a young ETH Zurich spin-off founded in March 2019. Our unique technology allows us to produce highly precise and innovative microcapsules that empower materials to unlock new capabilities, all tailored to various markets from cosmetics to nutraceutical and pharma.

To strengthen our team in Zürich-Schlieren we are recruiting a:
**Business development intern (4-6 months), 100%**
The commercial team supports the co-CEOs in defining the commercial strategy of the company and is responsible to deliver accordingly along the activities of sales, marketing, business development and project management.
Since we cover a wide range of operational and strategic tasks, we are looking for someone with a broad interest and versatile skill set to join our team.
Your mission:
- Support of key strategic projects that are run by the commercial team ranging from market-entry strategy to product development and business planning
- Support our sales activities by contacting leads, preparing pitch decks, and drafting project proposals
- Work closely with our formulations and engineering team during customer projects and support the team with administrative tasks such as meeting preparation and customer communications
- Support of the commercial and financial team in the preparation of future financing rounds
What you bring:
- Technical and commercial affinity: You are passionate about technical innovation and enjoy putting a commercial lens on it. Ideally you have a bachelor’s in a business-related field (Master is a plus) and have collected some first working experience in a previous job or internship
- Be willing to learn fast: We do not expect you to bring deep technical expertise. However, we expect that you are willing to dive into the topic and build your expertise by learning from the rest of the team
- A strong can-do attitude: As we are a startup, your scope of action will be broad and can change. Hence, we expect that you are willing (and ideally enjoying) to tackle all potential challenges ahead
- A strong analytical mindset: You are able to collect and analyze information and to formulate and solve problems in a structured way
- Be an open-minded team player: We are a diverse team, and everyone plays an essential part at Microcaps. We enjoy collaborating, challenging, and supporting each other - so it’s vital that you share the same values
- You possess a work permit in Switzerland, are fluent in English (compulsory) and German (preferred)

Contract length: 4-6 months
