**The Role**:
Reporting to the VP, Head of EMEA Region, and located in our Basel, Switzerland office, the Senior Director, Marketing EU Region & CH will take responsibility and ownership for aligning and executing the marketing strategy for Moderna’s vaccines (Covid, Flu & RSV) across the geography.

Spikevax continues to be a truly groundbreaking product. Moderna launched Spikevax to the globe and continues to be seen as a leader in vaccine development in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. In this role, you will be joining Moderna at a critical time for Moderna and their product pipeline. As the pandemic and vaccines evolve, this role, within Moderna’s newly chartered Vaccines commercial organization, will be responsible for preparing and executing “best in class” regional brand plans, manage launch excellence, develop strategies and tactics as well as work closely with the local markets throughout the region. The also Sr. Director, Marketing plays a key role in generating insights in order to drive ongoing optimization of the global brand campaigns and continual alignment of plans and strategies between global, regional and local.

**Here’s What You’ll Do**:
**EU Marketing (70%)**:
Refine and lead the EU marketing strategy for COVID-19, Flu & RSV vaccine, in partnership with the the global marketing organization and the respective EMEA Leadership & the various country GMs and Marketing directors, to educate the targeted stakeholders and build a best in class customer experience.

Use your extensive experience in market and customer insights, marketing strategy to drive market development, brand value and differentiation, launch planning, pre-launch and launch execution.

Deliver best-practice project management oversight for all markets and support launch preparation activities in all key markets.

Establish current & future competitive advantage by deeply understanding and addressing key EU customers needs, achieving a deep undersatnding of the competitors strategies and leveraging at best our clinical data strengths and brand opportunities.

Use your extensive vaccine/bio-pharma experience to drive successful market understanding, launch planning and launch execution.

Develop a digital-strategy & mindset when approaching the commercial entry of Moderna in Europe and the launch of our latest Covid-19 vaccine through highly innovative platforms and new channels to effectively engage with the key stakeholders.

Collaborate closely with the various cross functional leaders in medical affairs, market access, regulatory and supply chain being at the Global, EU or country level. You’ll work with a multitude of internal and external stakeholders to drive a smooth and highly successful product launch.

Comply with all corporate policies and procedures as well as all applicable healthcare laws and regulations in each EU market.

Be a key player in the Moderna’s global Vaccines commercial organization, allowing to capture the EU needs into the global strategy and support the cascade of the global plans in the key EU markets.

Drive and model the Moderna company values & culture.

**Marketing Switzerland (30%)**:
Be the strategic brand expert who drives Moderna’s commercial brand strategy in Switzerland, with a specific focus on the Vaccines Franchise (including COVID-19, RSV, seasonal flu).

Shape the key elements that define Moderna’s position as the Covid19 leader in the Swiss market, working closely with the General Manager and the country brand team members.

Support local field needs including brand training and best in class tactical tools for engagement with customers in face to face and remote/digital settings.

Develop appropriate marketing tactics, tools and programs to support the key stakeholder needs and differentiate the Moderna brand in the eyes of the customers.

Provide strong project management/leadership on key communications activities and initiatives, ensuring they are completed on time with a high level of quality, in accordance with local Compliance, Legal and Regulatory requirements.

**Here’s What You’ll Bring to the Table**:
Minimum of a bachelor’s degree; MBA, PharmD, MD or advanced degree preferred.

10+ years of progressive excellence within regional/global marketing roles, with 5+ years’ successful track record leading brand strategies and brand teams across defined geography.

Ability to collaborate among a range of key areas (marketing, sales force, medical, pricing/market access, supply chain and contracting); previous P&L experience experience desirable.

A high degree of digital fluency, and a deep understanding with proven success, of digital strategies and tactics. Experience in implementing tactical marketing plans, including using novel digital methods to activate and engage targeted consumers, and motivate them to achieved desired objectives.
