**Sr. Contract Manager/Director (Global)**:

Coordinating the provision of contract management services to the Global Division, ensuring all contract management activities are executed in accordance with Group/Division/Business Unit directives and instructions including Company procedures and the Contract Management Framework for Process Automation, Energy Industries business. Location: Middle East, India

**This position reports to**:
Global Division Controller - PAEN

**Your responsibilities**:

- Ensuring the portfolio of contracts in the business follows contract and claim management methodologies in accordance with internal standard procedures
- Review and comment on commercial and technical tender terms and conditions, developing contract strategy based on ABB’s policies, customer requirements, and the overall execution strategy taking into account risk, pricing, scope, and schedule
- Identifying the contract baseline (including terms and conditions, specifications, drawings, estimate, proposal, schedule and other documents incorporated in the contract) and highlights areas of potential risk. Ensures timely and accurate execution of commercial aspects in portfolio of contracts (i.e. payments, claims, variation orders, warranties, provisions, guarantees, etc.).
- Verifying that both parties to the contract have fulfilled their contractual obligations and there are no responsibilities outstanding. Assesses success of the contract and determines if there are any lessons learned for future contracting.
- Supporting drafting of Purchase Orders, Contracts and Subcontracts and ensures that relevant (sub) contracts contain appropriate contract terms to protect ABB’s interest, including flow-down of main contract terms.
- Ensuring (with HR Manager support) that the area of responsibility is organized, staffed, skilled and directed. Guides, motivates and develops direct/indirect subordinates within HR policies.

**Your background**:

- Degree in Engineering, Law or Economics.
- Minimum 15 years of experience in project business, contract management preferably in EPC domain.
- Demonstrated experience in management of project scope, cost, schedules and vendors/subcontractors.
- Sound knowledge of contract management and good understanding of contract law and project planning/execution.
- Team player with strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Cross border and International project experience is an added advantage.
