**Position Summary**:

- The Associate Director of EMEA Commercial and Operational Analytics & Reporting will be in the Zurich office reporting into the Regional Commercial Operations unit and will be an integral member of the Commercial team. As Ultragenyx increases its commercial presence in the EMEA region, this position will _be responsible for_ overseeing data management, _, tools and processes that _supports_ _key business _decision making_ _across EMEA. _In this role, you will play a critical part in shaping the commercial strategies and decision-making processes of our organization
- This position will work closely with internal and external partners such as Commercial Operations, Medical Affairs, Supply Chain, Business Planning, and Finance._
**Work Model**:
Flex: This role will typically require onsite work 2-3 days each week, or more depending on business needs. In many locations, the business will set certain days each week that Flex employees are required to be onsite.
**Responsibilities**:
**_ Market _**_and performance _**_Analysis:_**
- _Lead Commercial Analytics & Reporting initiatives within the region, coordinating with both regional and local country leadership (including distribution partners) _supporting key decision-making._
- _Drive key business and patient analytics through the design and implementation of models, reporting tools, dashboards and ensure the adoption of such data automation tools._
- _Collect and _analyse_ sales data, including product performance, customer _behaviour_, and market segmentation. _Identify_ _trend_, risks and _opportunities, _best practices_ and _areas for improvement and develop strategies to _optimize_ performance_._
- _Support Market _A_ccess in creation of _strategic_ access models to support innovative access agreements with countries_._
- _Lead _the _creation and tracking of _cross functional (C_ommercial, Medical, Market Access) _Key P_erformance _Indicators (_KPIs_)_ and liaise appropriately with _the cross functional team_ to create an integrated performance picture._
- _Support the deployment and _usages of_ regional CRM_._
- _Provide_ necessary operational support for incentive compensation, training, and business development opportunities._
- _Lead design, _implementation_ and analysis of market research, where available, and coordinate/lead new primary market research projects, when planned._
**_Competitor Intelligence:_**
- _Monitor and assess the competitive landscape, tracking competitor product launches, pricing strategies, and market positioning. Use this information to inform our product strategies._
**_Data Visualization:_**
- _Create _clear _reports and dashboards to communicate data-driven insights to various stakeholders. Utilize tools such as Excel, _ThinkCell_, or other data visualization _software_
**_Forecasting and Planning_**
- _Support demand plans, _provide_ analysis and controls through sales reporting, forecasting and sales performance measures._
**_Communication_**
- _Liaise with global teams, sharing best practices, _representing_, and advocating for the EMEA region in context of the overall Ultragenyx strategies._
**Requirements**:
- Bachelor's degree in business or related field required.
- Knowledge of pharmaceutical market dynamics, regulatory requirements, and industry trends.
- 10 years or more experience working in pharmaceutical industry with EMEA experience and a minimum 5 years managerial level and experience in Business Analytics, Sales Operations or Commercial Finance.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and, presentation skills in English; Fluency in other languages (e.g. German, French, Italian, Spanish and Arabic considered a plus)
- Proficient in working with regional and local Sales, Marketing, Market Access and Medical leaders to develop short and long-term goals that are specific to our cross functional organizations
- Proven track record in improvements in forecasting, sales force sizing, dashboard automation design and implementation
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and software, such as Excel, ThinkCell, and data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI).
- Proficiency in Veeva CRM
- Able to travel internationally 20% of the time
