Our new Group Sustainability Manager will be energizing the transformation required internally to enable a more sustainable and resource-efficient future with our technology leadership in electrification and automation. **This position reports to**:
Group Head of Sustainability

**Your responsibilities**:

- Develop, lead & evolve environmental targets for the defined programs in alignment with the ABB sustainability strategy.
- Contribute to the risk management of program-related issues by providing advice to the executive committee, senior management, and Sustainability Function Head on ABB environmental policy decisions. Deliver training, advice, and tailored support to the representatives in the business areas/divisions/other functions.
- Define KPIs (key performance indicators), set benchmark key objectives and targets, and deliver results to ABB Group management and external stakeholders. Ensure program performance is regularly monitored and reported.
- Accountable for establishing and maintaining the standards and trainings related to own program. Establish & lead working groups with the relevant stakeholders to set targets, measure performance and take corrective actions for own program.
- Track, assess, and report on global emerging trends and sustainability related regulations and legislation. Ensure that the function standards comply with external standards, laws and regulations.
- Identify function-specific business needs, requirements and improvement opportunities through an annual process.
- Contribute to driving behavioral and structural change through ensuring harmonized and standardized processes throughout the company.
- Ensure clear and effective communication skills when engaging with external stakeholders (e.g. investors, customers, suppliers, international bodies) and internal stakeholders to raise awareness of, gain commitment to, and obtain objective feedback on program-related efforts.
- Define, manage, and obtain management approval of the budget for specific program-related projects. Monitor program-related costs.

**Your background**:

- Relevant sustainability oriented university studies e.g., Masters in Climate Change
- 15+ years previous work experience with a focus on energy, renewability, circularity, and environmental sustainability in consulting and corporate context
- Broad understanding of evolving environmental sustainability trends and requirements and thought leadership to enable early interventions, decisions, and improvements
- Ability to deliver excellent results in a fast-paced environment and under time pressure
- Excellent Microsoft PowerPoint skills and solid understanding of Microsoft Excel and Power BI
- Ability to work independently, to prepare and deliver presentations to C-level or the board
- Experience in managing external stakeholders like SBTi, CDP, RE100, WRI and WBCSD and understanding of how these different partners can support ABB.
- Team spirit and global mindset
- Professional fluency in English
