Sustainability and Circular Economy (CE) is increasingly critical for the market success of the Smart Buildings Division and we are looking for a Division Sustainability Lead. This role will work closely with the Global Product Groups (esp. Product Management and R&D) as well as with other Sustainability leads at Corporate and Divisional Area level to drive and advance Sustainability and Circular Economy (CE) initiatives in the Smart Buildings Division. The role will be reporting directly to the Head of Strategy and Portfolio Management for the Division Smart Buildings

**Your responsibilities**:

- Developing and implementing a comprehensive and actionable global Smart Buildings sustainability / CE innovation strategy (Circularity Strategy 2030) across markets and LPGs with the support of local CE ambassadors.
- Proactively mirroring the latest product sustainability market & customer requirements and competitor trends (incl. benchmark analyses) and translating best practices into incremental business opportunities for Smart Buildings
- Support Global Product Groups to define ambitious yet realistic targets on EPD (Environmental Product Declaration), Circular Economy and Eco-solutions Environmental. Support also on the implementation once the plans are defined proposing and managing sustainability / CE innovation projects to enable new product launches with CE materials, packaging and lifecycle programs (incl. use / end of life).
- Coordinating and prioritizing sustainability data market requirements and initiating data mining & extraction with responsible R&D and SCM functions (e.g. cradle to cradle, environmental product declarations).
- Coordinating the development of internal & external launch plans and marketing presentations / campaigns for CE projects incl. new market launches, lead by Marketing and Communications teams.
- Administering sustainable / CE portfolio considerations (e.g. for the ABB Group eco-efficiency portfolio) in cooperation with the ELSB Division EHS, PM, R&D and portfolio managers, Cooperating with HR, Marketing and Communications functions to embed the sustainability / CE culture in the organization though training, engagement and communication.
- Work with the Business Area and Corporate Sustainability leads to coordinate all topics important for the field of expertise

**Your background**:

- Master’s Degree in Industrial / Electrical / Chemical Engineering and/or Product Sustainability / Circular Economy.
- More than two years of experience in product sustainability management, material safety, environmental product compliance, innovation management, product data management - working with electrical products.
- Proficient in English verbally and written. Other European languages a plus
- Excellent communication and influencing skills in a multi-national environment with cross-cultural teams.
- Structured and proactive project management skills, ability to define and implement own processes.
- Self-driven personality, ability to work independently.
- Passion for Sustainability and Circular Economy topics in product
- & innovation management.
