**Your mission**:
The aim of the EPFL Blue Brain Project (BBP), a Swiss brain research initiative founded and directed by Professor Henry Markram, is to establish simulation neuroscience as a complementary approach alongside experimental, theoretical and clinical neuroscience to understanding the brain, by building the world’s first biologically detailed digital reconstructions and simulations of the mouse brain.
- The BBP disseminates their scientific results through scientific publications (e.g. Markram et al. 2015, Cell) in combination with impactful web portals (e.g. NMC Portal). In order to plan, design, build, launch and maintain our portfolio of web portals, you would be joining the Neuroinformatics Software Engineering team, as
- **_Web Portal Product Owner_**.

**Main duties and responsibilities include**:

- Collaborate with stakeholders and teams to understand business needs and strategies,
- Take ownership of product vision and roadmap,
- Represent the customers and their requirements,
- Define the products’ functionalities and organise them into a product backlog (incl. user stories with acceptance criteria),
- Develop technical specifications and oversee development stages,
- Work on a day-to-day basis with the engineering team(s),
- Inspect and evaluate product progress at each iteration,
- Organize quality control and documentation of the product,
- Develop and maintain effective relations with web agencies and coordinate the work with contractors when internal resources are insufficient (e.g. front end engineers, UX/UI designers).

**Profile**:

- At least 3 years experience in information technology, as a product owner, business analyst or software development.
