This Position reports to:
Manager Global Engineering Department

**Your role and responsibilities**

Your team, in close collaboration with local engineering teams around the globe, plays a pivotal role in the project execution and has an important influence on the customer satisfaction. Do you have the necessary skills and drive to lead a strong and dynamic engineering team paired with a solid background in engineering? If so, this is your opportunity to take up a new challenge.

**The main responsibilities include**- Leading a team of up to 10 engineers in technical, personal and entrepreneurial aspects as well as training, coaching and mentoring the team members to release their full potential
- Identifying and driving continuous improvements within the team and at the interfaces with other departments and disciplines, and supporting selected customer projects personally
- Establishing and maintaining close collaboration with other control software and HIL test teams in Engineering and R&D to drive processes and technologies in the same direction

**Qualifications for the role**
- Bachelor, Master or PhD in electrical, software or mechanical engineering, preferably with focus on control software for power converters
- At least 5 years work experience in a technical customer focused area
- Experience in innovative drive technology, ideally in the field of railway, e-bus or heavy electric vehicle propulsion
- First leadership experience (team or project lead)
- Project management experience advantageous
- Strong level of self-motivation and structured approach to work
- Leader and team player with excellent communication skills, both in English and German
