The Head of Investigations - Digital Assets Recovery is
to lead the digital asset recovery initiatives. This senior leadership role requires extensive experience in
blockchain analytics, digital asset tracing, fraud investigation, and leadership in managing a team
of investigators.

**Responsibilities**

**Blockchain Analytics and Tracing**
- Utilize blockchain analytics tools to trace and locate clients' digital assets.
- Analyze blockchain smart contracts (programming code) and blockchain databases (transactions and addresses) to identify digital asset movements.
- Conduct extensive data collection and analysis to support investigative activities, with a focus on eliminating or minimizing the risk of cyber asset loss.
- Implement heuristic clustering methods to identify connections between suspect addresses and known entities.

**Data Collection and Analysis for Investigative Support**
- Collect, analyse, and maintain comprehensive data related to illicit activities to strengthen investigative efforts.

**Managing Serious Cyber Asset Security Incidents**
- Oversee critical incidents related to cyber asset security, from initial detection through to resolution.
- Communicate effectively with relevant stakeholders, including clients, law enforcement, and internal teams.

**Comprehensive Reporting on Incidents and Investigations**
- Draft thorough reports on security incidents, providing detailed summaries of investigations and outcomes.
- Ensure that reports are accurate, well-documented, and suitable for legal and internal reference.

**Legal Title Acquisition & Enforcement of Legal Court Orders**
- Advise clients on the legal requirements for obtaining titles to their lost or stolen assets.
- Coordinate with legal experts to obtain necessary legal documents, such as court orders, in applicable jurisdictions.

**Security and Confidentiality**

**Proactive Support and Assistance for Client Contractors**
- Provide proactive expertise and support to assist client contractors in resolving issues and recovering lost digital assets.

**Client Communication**

**Team Management**

**Required skills and qualifications**

**Crypto Forensics & Blockchain Analytics**
- Proficient with tools like Global Ledger, Elliptic, Arkham Intelligence,
Merkle Science, Chainalysis, TRM Labs, or CipherTrace.
- Ability to trace wallet transactions, analyze smart contracts, and identify suspicious patterns on-chain
- Familiarity with cross-chain analytics to trace assets moving through different blockchain ecosystems (e.g., DeFi protocols, bridges).

**Cybercrime & Fraud Detection**
- Experience investigating scams, phishing attacks, pig butchering, rug pulls, pump-and-dumps, NFT thefts, or insider threats in Web3 environments.

**Regulatory Compliance & AML**
- Understanding of crypto-specific KYC/AML standards, FATF travel rule, and regional regulations (e.g., MiCA, FinCEN, SEC guidance).
- Familiarity with crypto exchange and DeFi regulatory obligations.

**Incident Response**

**Technical & Analytical Tools**
- Blockchain Explorers & Analytics: Skilled with Etherscan, Solscan, Polygonscan, mempool analysis, and multi-chain tracing.
- SIEM & Monitoring Systems: Integration of blockchain-specific threat detection with traditional tools (Splunk, QRadar, etc.).
