Procurement Category Manager of Facilities

In response to the shifting landscape brought about by the Covid-19 pandemic, traditional work dynamics have undergone significant changes. Recognizing this new reality, we are initiating a transformative approach to Facilities Management.

As part of this initiative, we've introduced the role of Procurement Category Manager of Facilities Management Services. Reporting to the Procurement Lead of Facilities Management Services EMEA. As the Category Manager, your primary responsibility will be to collaborate on the development and implementation of an innovative procurement strategy tailored to meet the evolving FM objectives across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. Furthermore, you will specialize in procuring Cleaning Services, with a focus on introducing enhanced flexibility, innovation, and data-driven optimization across all sites and regions. This aligns closely with the goals of our key internal stakeholders, fostering a collective drive for improvement.

Ideally, we aim to base this role in or around Kaiseraugst or Geneva, Switzerland.

**Your key responsibilities**
- Your role will be based in or near Switzerland, which serves as the backbone of our business, housing our head office, research facilities, and production sites, collectively employing about 4000 people.
- You will collaborate closely with the Global Real Estate & Workplace organization (GREW) for non-industrial sites and with the Business Units Operations’ teams for industrial sites. This collaboration ensures that Supply is aligned with the overall business roadmap and effectively captures business needs.
- You will partner with Finance and the Business to define, drive, and monitor initiative pipelines aimed at delivering overall value to the business. This includes identifying opportunities for cost savings, growth, and optimizing cash flow.
- It will be your responsibility to drive excellence in supplier partnerships where meaningful, ensuring compliance with internal and external policies/regulations, advancing the sustainability agenda, and managing risks through supply continuity to uphold the company's reputation.

**You bring**
- A degree or post-degree qualification, with a preference for a Master's degree. Proficiency in English, with French and/or German languages required.
- Previous experience in Sourcing, with exposure to senior leadership.
- Ability to effectively engage with stakeholders, vendors, and cross-functional teams through strong communication skills, utilizing appropriate channels and methods.
- Prioritizing people development and engagement.
- A committed and dedicated approach to tasks and responsibilities.
- Demonstrated skills in active listening, influencing and motivating others, organizational agility, political savvy, stakeholder management, resilience, and emotional intelligence.
