The Professor and Chair of Internal Medicine will be responsible for research, teaching, and clinical services in this discipline. He or she will be appointed as head of Internal Medicine at the University Hospital Zurich. With the start of the new professor, the University Hospital Zurich will establish a new Department of Medicine, which will comprise, in addition to Internal Medicine, also Immunology, Clinical Pharmacology and Toxicology, Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine and Complementary and Integrative Medicine, which are all led by independent professors.

German language skills at level B2 of the common European framework of reference for languages should be available or must be acquired within a reasonable period of time.
