Your job
Are you a visionary leader with a passion for technology and a drive to build the best in class shopping companions and the most efficient Ad-platform for FMCG & Retail? If so, we want you to lead our engineering department at Bring Labs as the Head of Engineering.
In this role, you will report directly to the CTO and be a member of the Team Leads team.
You will have the opportunity to shape the future of our company and make a significant impact on our users' and customers' experience.
**The role includes the following key responsibilities**:
- Lead and manage the locally distributed engineering department (+15), including recruiting and training of team members
- Inspire, coach, and develop your team of engineers to reach their full potential
- Hold yourself and your team to the highest engineering standards, and ensure that projects are delivered on time and within budget
- Overall responsibility for scalability, performance, security, monitoring, and resilience of the platform
- Manage the budget for the engineering department, and make strategic decisions to ensure that we are always investing in the right areas
- Foster strong relationships with external partners and suppliers, to ensure that we are always leveraging the latest technologies and trends
**Requirements**:
For this position we are looking for someone with strong organizational and management skills and a broad understanding in the engineering field. You are the right fit if you have:
- 10+ years software engineering experience in progressively complex roles
- Proven experience leading and managing large engineering teams
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Experience with cloud technologies and mobile app development
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- A curious, passionate, and growth-oriented mindset
- Exceptional communication skills in English, German is a strong plus
- Living in Germany right now
