In this role you will be accountable to set and lead the GPG’s Operations resources with the mandate to optimize performance on a global scale. You will also be responsible to develop and execute an Operations strategy in order to deliver results against GPG’s strategic targets. Live and foster ABB values and operate in line with the company’s policies and standards.

**Your responsibilities**:

- Accountable to set and drive Operations strategy to achieve profitable growth and capital efficiency in line with GPG’s strategy and focusing on the need for execution of the mid and long-term product portfolio roadmap and footprint requirements.
- Accountable to define and operate the strategic Make or Buy and SCM decisions and plan necessary resources and investments. Lead Project Management (PM) processes across the Division and Business Area.
- Effectively cooperate with Division, GPGs and Hubs/operating units to furtherly optimize footprint and investment and lead the way on Operations topics with a global perspective optimize the business setup on a global scale; make use of the Division global and local resources.
- Accountable to lead the Global Division operational excellence strategy by defining global standards, rules, tools, policies and processes related to operations and quality. Share functional best practices and lessons learned across the organization.
- Ensures Global Division compliance with quality standards and develops systems for capturing, monitoring and improving day-to-day operations. Drives productivity, delivery performance and cost optimization. On short term, manage and balance effectively capacity and workload globally. Support management and improvement of production cost and order gross margin.
- Accountable to set standards for Engineering and Manufacturing processes for the Division, by defining technologies and processes to implement globally. Support the implementation and continuous improvement in the local units; accountable to define, design and drive the Project Management process strategy for Global Division and Business Area, ensuring that development and certification path are in place.
- Accountable to run audit of the PM capabilities and competencies in the local units and support the definition of the proper development plan and staffing, based on business needs, run and/ or support execution of large, multi-country projects and corporate customers strategic projects. Prepare the annual Industrial budget (Capex and Opex) and be accountable for execution and achievement. Set performance targets and drive their achievement through oversight and definition of improvement actions as needed.
- Accountable to set HSE and business compliance standards in Operations for the Division and to ensure that these are implemented locally.Implement HSE and business compliance standards and regulations inside area of responsibility. Personally live the ABB values and foster them across the organization and ensure all the units are properly organized, staffed and directed. Build effective, capable and high performing workforce. Develop talent and leaders, manage succession, take leadership in recruitments to key positions.

**Your background**:

- Low voltage Switchgear knowledge and successful track record in management leadership roles in a multinational global organization
- Successful track record in driving growth plan, managing change and achieving results, experience in working in a matrix organization
